A woman slapped a Peruvian congressman outside the presidential palace in Lima on Wednesday (March 28) after the lawmaker left a meeting with Peru’s new president, Martin Vizcarra.
Congressman Guido Lombardi was speaking to journalists on television when the woman walked up from behind him repeatedly saying, “How much money do you have?”
When Lombardi answered, “A lot, a lot,” the woman slapped him in the face.
A police officer quickly intervened and escorted the woman away. It was not immediately clear who the woman was or if she faces criminal charges.
