Justin Timberlake announces his 2018 ‘The Man of the Woods’ tour dates
Justin Timberlake will hit the road in March for his North American “The Man of the Woods” concert tour to promote his new album of the same name.
The tour, announced Monday morning, opens March 13 at Toronto’s Air Canada Centre. It concludes May 30 at the FedEx Forum in Timberlake’s hometown of Memphis. All tour dates and ticket information appears below.
“The Man of the Woods” concert trek appears to be bypassing San Diego, at least for now, in favor of an April 28 date at The Forum in Los Angeles. Tickets for that show are priced between $60 and $280 each, plus service charges.
His next scheduled show is May 2 in Phoenix, which — in theory — would allow enough time for Timberlake to add a San Diego stop.
It’s more likely, though, he’ll simply do another show or two at The Forum. His most recent tour, “The 20/20 Experience World Tour” in 2013 and 2014, also skipped San Diego in favor of larger venues in Los Angeles and Orange County.
Timberlake’s tour will follow his Feb. 4 performance at the Pepsi Super Bowl LII Halftime Show in Minneapolis, where Pink will sing the national anthem. His new album will be released two days earlier, bucking the tradition of Super Bowl performers waiting until after their halftime show to announce their new tour and album.
“The outdoors is the inspiration for a lot of these songs,” Timberlake said in a statement announcing the tour.
“That’s the main idea. The tour will be able to bring the outside in. How can we bring that to life? I want people to see the inspiration for how it ended up sounding. I’ve never seen that done before: Bring the outside in.”
Tickets for all of Timberlake’s “The Man of the Woods” tour dates go on sale to the general public starting Jan. 16 at ticketmaster.com.
