As much as Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU)  fans are looking forward to the impending release of Avengers: Infinity War, there’s also a great deal of hype building for next year’s Captain Marvel movie. At long last, Carol Danvers is taking flight and giving the MCU its first female-led superhero movie.

Marvel has been playing things pretty close to the vest so far, but we do have some idea of the major characters appearing alongside Carol herself. Check out our slideshow below to learn which actors and characters have been confirmed for this new addition to the MCU.

Captain Marvel is directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck and is scheduled to hit theaters on March 8, 2019. Be sure to check out this first look at Brie Larson as the titular superhero and then find out why the film is being billed as an action-comedy.

The story follows Danvers as she becomes one of the universe’s most powerful heroes when Earth is caught in the middle of a galactic war between two alien races. Set in the 1990s, it is an all-new adventure from a previously unseen period in the MCU.
